ToyBox Pre-School

ToyBox is an Ofsted registered high quality low cost Pre-School. We cater for children aged 2 - 5 years. We currently run 7 sessions a week. We have 8 children enrolled in these sessions and we keep 2 drop in spaces a day for children whose mothers might be accessing a course at the centre, using the drop-in, attending counselling or need an extra place for children already enrolled.

We provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment for children in a small setting. We have a high ratio of staff to children, ensuring that all children receive one to one attention helping to build their independence and self esteem.

ToyBox is open to anybody in the community. We have always and continue to operate an equal opportunities policy.

We are open 49 weeks per year:
Monday - Friday 9:30am - 11:30am
Monday - Wednesday 12:30pm - 2:30pm
Friday 12:30pm - 2:30pm

Cost per session: £5.00 waged, £3.50 unwaged.

Parent / Carer Feedback

We asked "How does your child benefit from coming to ToyBox?"

"My child benefits from spending time an independent time in a safe setting, He has access to new experiences and benefits from being in a highly supportive environment."

“He feels enormously at ease with the staff who are very attentive to his individual needs. The centre provides a safe and caring atmosphere and he often comes home with stories or songs."

"She really enjoys her time at ToyBox, her social skills have improved and she now enjoys playing with other children, her confidence has vastly improved and she is a very happy little girl."

"This service has been invaluable for me following the break up of an abusive relationship. ToyBox has been a place that both of my children have enjoyed coming to. The staff have been very sensitive to our experience as a family. When I leave my children there I know that they are really well cared for, and this has been so helpful in enabling us to get on our feet during what has been a very stressful year. It's a place where I feel safe and my children feel safe. I hope that the staff realise just how important this has been for me."
