Complementary Therapies:

Mindfullness and Relaxation Course

Starting Friday 30th October 10.30am-12pm

This is an invitation to women to come and join a relaxation and mindfulness morning.

During the five weeks we will use music, sounds and visualisation to create an open space where we can wind down from the week.

Using this time we will begin to learn how to use basic mindfulness techniques such as breathing, sitting, walking, something called a body scan and enquiry sessions, where you are invited to speak about your experience or simply listen to others.

This isn't a mindfulness programme; these are running at many places around the city but a space to experience an introduction to this within a supportive and relaxing environment.

The awareness and space we are hoping to create can have a positive effect on your general wellbeing. If you have experienced difficulties with anxiety or depression, have been or are on medication or trying to give up smoking this group can offer you a space to take a break.

"What would it be like to settle into your own body, even for a few minutes" Jon Kabat-Zinn

Dates: This is a 5 week course starting Friday 30th October

Times: 10.30am-12.00pm

Cost: £20

Please come to the centre to book, 72 High Street, Brighton

Smoking Cessation

STOP SMOKING sessions could be your road to freedom

Brighton Women’s Centre is offering you stop smoking sessions. We have holistic therapists here for you to help you.

Stop Smoking group sessions at BWC

Do you want to STOP SMOKING for good this time?

Fed up of the old cycle of stopping and starting again?

STOP SMOKING Hypnotherapy workshops could be your road to freedom.

Hypnotherapy addresses one vital component that other stop smoking methods miss out – the unconscious mind.

This Autumn, BWC are pleased to announce the launch of a 2 hour STOP SMOKING workshop where you will be safely guided by an experienced and proven hypnotherapist towards:

  • Helping you to become free of the desire to smoke
  • Addressing every single psychological trick that smoking addiction plays on you
  • To move you to a life where you no longer feel controlled by the need to smoke

Above all you will become someone who can’t imagine why you ever smoked

What’s more, the happy ‘side effects’ of hypnotherapy will leave you feeling

Calmer, happier and full of positive expectancy.

Sessions will also include an introduction to EFT - a gentle therapy using ‘tapping; moves with the fingers to help alleviate the anxieties that can be at the root of smoking issues.

Come along on a Friday and be free of those old smoking patterns by the weekend!
